Who Am I?

   I am just a normal teenager. I am arrogant, annoying, loud, persuasive, and an optimistic person. I am one of those people who enjoys being the center of attention and enjoys the authority and power I have towards people. There are many things that can come out with this question, such as what I might be when I grow up? There are just so many things to decide, I don't want to be a business men because of the stressed out environment and the competitions out there. Don't get me wrong, I have no worries what so ever about our competitions. I love to win and I always win. I will keep that going until the day I die. Being a business men will either make you super rich, or super poor depending on the quality of work, hardwork, and sometimes luck. My dad is a successful business men, therefore he wants me to try out what he is doing. I believe that I am more towards the literature and history side. My math is terrible, so I have been considering to be a lawyer or a psychologist. I love arguing, and I win argues. So why not make a living out of it? I once made a guard in my compound actually think he did something wrong when clearly it was my fault. I am good and logical at arguing. A psychologist is one of my interests. Analyzing other people's stressed out lives and giving nearly no comments and getting paid four five hundred dollars an hour. The money and the job is just appealing. I don't know who I will be, maybe I will end up  being  a business men after all, chances are high for that to happen because my dad wants me on wallstreet working for some financial bank. I don't know. All i know is that I won't let myself receive all this education and turn out to be poor and talentless. I will thrive and be the leader of the following generation. Watch me, I will be.

Duty or Friendship?

   This is a very common thing that happens with people in life. People have to make choices, choices they don't want to make, but choices that they have to. It is normally between two very hard to decide things, Friends or Family? Friends or Lovers? Family or Lovers? Job or Lovers? All these questions are very common in many people's lives. I think, betraying a duty is worse than betraying a friend. Call me a bad person, call me a bad friend, but I am a very selfish person. When there is a position for me to go higher up in my company, to the job that I have always dreamed of having, I would abandon my friend and go higher up into my career. I think one's success comes from the cruelty and the harshness in the person. No successful company was built on being nice and fair to each other, no successful company was built on respecting other competitions and not breaking any rules. When it comes to work, people would do all they can to screw other people over. This would be a hard and terrible decision for me. I know that I should not cheat and betray my friend, but i know that by not accomplishing a duty could ruin and trash my reputation. How i see it is that when someone assigns a duty to me, I would NEED to complete it. A duty is a promise, and breaking a promise would hurt people's trust in me. I would indeed go betray a friend before I betray a duty. Although this is a hard choice, a duty is a duty, Friends can be made later on in life, but I need to fulfill my promise and duty.

Sniper QuickWrite Under Stress

   When there is pressure or fear invovled, people tend to do their best and probably will be the only time they will ever perform this well. If I had kids, and my kid is going to University next fall, chances are I will try to perform my best and earn as much Christmas bonus as I can. Or even when someone is kidnapped, they are to defuse a bomb, the person will chances are do things beyond his standard abilities. There are many different scenarios in which a person would perform beyond their abilities to accomplish a goal. If a father saw his kid stuck under a car, adrenaline may pump though his body and enables him to lift up the car and safe the child. These things have happened before, this proves that people will do better under stress. When I received my first highschool report card, I was shocked at my grades. I thought I would perform better, and now i have stress to get a higher grade, not for my parents, but for myself. When I am under the stress of college and everything like that, I get scared about my future and tend to finish all my work with quality. When people are at stress, they take risky actions too. Entrepreneurs may want to go for a bigger business to associate with or try to get more stock buyers. When stressed, people will do better and this is just how the world works. People only work hard if there were some motivations involved.

Question Number 7 on Pg259.

   I don't think its likely that anyone would go out to help any stranger. For all you know, they stranger could be a murderer or a rapist or some sort. I think the young man helping out with Mrs. Chen at last is nice of him. When I think about the big apple, I rarely hear that people help each other out. Instead of helping each other, all I have ever heard was that they are always being jerks to each other. I never would expect someone like him to be in New York City and help out with a stranger like that. I think everyone else in New York would not help a strange Chinese lady on the subway. One reason why I would not help out a stranger, especially in New York, is because I don't really know what the stranger's intensions are with me. He could want to kill me, or he could be trying to mug me and steal my wallet or some other nonesense. This student could be helping her just because he has a strong sympathy towards Mrs.Chen because she is from China. I think this young student has experienced the Exact same experience with Mrs. Chen. When he first came to the city, he could have experienced the exact same scenerio as Mrs.Chen. He would not know any English and no one helped him out. He then had a tough time finding his way back. I think he does not want anyone else to experience the challenge he faced when he first arrived in New York. I think that is the biggest incentives and reason why he helped her out.

Poe's Death

   Poe. He was so young when he died, his death, was terrible. He was a special man, ever since he was a kid. He was different then everybody else. His parents weren't the world's greatest parents. As he grew up, he turned into an alchoholic. Everyone will probabably for a high chance drink atleast sometime in their life. Poe was a completely different story, he was a big alchoholic that staied drunk more often then sober in his life. To other people, he was slightly mad due to his drinkings. No one wants to get associated with a drunk, and Poe drank so much that being drunk was probably his permanent state.  He was sent for treatment to try help cutting down his often drinkings and his crazy mindset. It was hard for a man like Poe to stay sober rather than drunk. He had his own mind problems even though he was sober, his families came by to attempt to help him get through this tough time of his life. Poe was crazy, everyone thought. Everyone thought he would be less of a mad man after ending his drinking. Everyone guessed wrong, he was crazy drunk or sober. I think he died due to his need for alchohol, along with his own crazy mind and his often drinkings. His drinkings was hurting his body, the alchohol level in his blood was off the chart. His crazy mind told himself many things people dont normally tell themselves. This was a tragic death for his family and Poe.

Most Dangerous Game Movie-Book Comparison

   We read the holt reader version of the "Most Dangerous Game". This story is about during the late eighteen hundreds to the early nineteen hundred's hunters going on a hunt. They had a boat accident and they swam to the shore of this island, the Ship Trapped Island, famous for sailors having boat accidents around the coast that swam there, and never made it out of the Island. They then visited the only building on the island, with General Zaroff and Ivan in it. They then began the biggest and most dangerous game any human could ever possibly hunt. We saw the movie after we read the story, and this movie is pretty different from what we have read. There were many different characters and events that occur differently between the movies and the book. The movie had some characters that was not in the book we have read. Some of the biggest differences so far are the characters. There was only one character that swam to Ship Trap Island, Raisnford. In the movie however, includes many characters that went along with him onto the island. The event of the boat crash also was different than the book. In the book, Rainsford fell of the speeding ship after chasing his pipe onto the invisible trail of air. After he fell, he could not match the speed of the on going ship, so he then swam to the nearest island, Ship Trap Island. In the movie, the whole boat sank and even if some people died, many people still followed Rainsford to the island. That is the biggest difference I have spot so far in to this movie. I am looking forward for a fabulous ending and more unexpected and exciting scenes of the movie.

Thrills Quickwrite

    I do not enjoy or admire any type of scary stories or movies. To me, the scary ones are too scary, the bloody ones are so bloody that i feel the pain for the character, and the boring ones just doesn't satisfy my desire for more thrills. I dislike most of the scary movies, not because its too scary, mainly because i just cannot picture my life being the same as the character's and being able to find a girl under my bed or a doll that wants to kill me. I think people try to scare themselves for the mysterious feeling of who might get killed in this movie, or who was that lady that climbed out of the tv. Even if i don't enjoy watching scary movies, there are still some things i like about them. They are such great stories that can build a strong suspense in the viewer's mind, they can make you keep on wondering and think about what might happen next, when the story probably will end without even revealing the truth behind all the questions. There are just things like this where people dislike it at that moment, but still constantly have a desire to watch it. I think activities like this is just like going on rollercoasters. Before you go on the ride, your thinking how awesome and great it would be, and when your on the ride it would be a completely different story. You would be panicking and scared when the giant row of seats are going 70 miles per hour and 360 degrees around the track. When you get down the ride, you would think "oh that was so scaryyyy i would never go back on that ride ever again!" thats what you would be thinking, but in reality people will keep on going back to those activities for the sudden thrill they get. I think people act this way because they do not receive the absolute sensational feeling that these activities bring us. They do not experience being scared every day, they do not suddenly go from 0-70 mph in two seconds on a row of moving seats. People just don't experience this everyday. I think that is a big reason why they all hate watching it, but still watches it.

Necklace Summary

    The main character,Mathilde wants to be rich, wants to live a life that she doesn't have. She wanted stunning blouses, pricey gems, and an enormous mansion. But of course she desires those things because she doesn't have it. Her husband was invited to a party for a night, where everyone is rich and will be dressing up with expensive dresses and loads of jewelry. Even if they did not have the money, they spent hundreds of dollars on Mathilde's new dress and asked her friend to lend her this diamond necklace to wear along with the dress. So as they were leaving the party, Mathilde loses her necklace and is troubled by getting it back. She did not know what to do so she purchased a new one for thirty six thousand dollars. Her husband and Mathilde asked loan sharks and people to lend them money. After ten years, they finally finished paying off the debt of the massive amount of money she owes. She then grew old due to her hard labor work she had to work for. One day she saw her friend on the street, and decided to reveal the shocking story to her. It turned out, the diamond necklace was fake and Mathilde and her husband paid for a real one to replace a fake necklace.

   Amusement, envy, and jealousy are all feelings you develop when you see someone with better things and lives than you. Everyone can experience that, it may not have to be money, it could be simply the happiness that you never receive, it could be the love of a wife, or it could simply be about money. While people are busy watching other people's lives thrive with joy, people always forget what they have, and what people would be envy of. For a rich guy, he may have spent all of his life on his career that he does not have any family. He is rich, but there are just things you cannot purchase with money. For a poor guy, he has a gorgeous wife, but he may envy the amount of cash and bank the rich guy has. For a couple, they could be jealous of other couples who have kids and are all dipped in joy. But all of these people, they do not look at what they have, instead of looking at how great their lives are already, they are busy envying other people's lives and resources. They do not realize what they have accomplished with theirs but instead look at other people's and think, "What if i had a life like that". For me, i have of course envied other people's lives. If i see a person with really good grades, i may envy that. If i see a person with extraordinary skateboarding skills, i would be jealous of that. The difference from me and other people are that, after a while of thinking and admiring other people's lives, i always come back and think about my own. Which at the end, ill think is still the best and would never ever trade in for other people's. I do not need to be Bill Gates to be happy, i do not need to own the Disney World to be happy. I believe i am living a fruitful and delightful life, i do not need other people's skills and money to make my life better. My life is  pleasant the way it is. I love my life.

Feuds

   There are many countries in the world today that has conflicts that can lead them into warfare. It is no longer an argument that can be solved by an agreement, it is way beyond that level. People will always have disagreements. Even if the world is turning more and more peaceful, people will still be selfish and argue for more. One of the most common feud is over land. People will do anything for an extra square meter. Just like the Palistinians and the Hebrews. They were having a conflict over that country of Israel which led into unwanted warfare. The Republic of North Korea also branched out from South Korea due to political disagreements. There are also conflicts that rips family relationships apart. Families such as the Gradwitz and Znaeym family has a dispute over the mountain rage. People in the world always have family feuds. When one is jealous of another, that could lead into a family feud. When both are competing for the same thing, that could also lead into a family feud. People have feuds due to disagreements, jealousy or demands for the same thing. To me, i dont get why people kill for land, to me its just extra things we dont even need. Some people have less tolerance for other people.

Reflection Term#1

    I think the past term wasn't the greatest term. I did not perform at my very best and i should have done better. I did not like the constantly having to bring a laptop since i have a battery problem and i have to borrow other's to use. I like the projects we do in the class, videos, stamps, almost any project. I liked making the movie, it was a time for us to cooperate and have team work. I did not enjoy the story board on the other hand, that was a bit of a challenge to get the right scenes. I would like to see a BIG improvement in any grades this new term, Ill be turning in anything on time and more. I really enjoy this class, therefor i will not let myself get such a terrible grade next term. I would most likely to change the irresponsibility of mine. I really cant get such a bad grade next term.

Robbery

      

Everyday i am forced to do chores for my family. Washing dishes, taking out the trash, you name it, I’ve done it. My mom asked me to do some chores after school everyday, although i did not want to, I acquiesced.  Our home was located on a very precipitous cliff just next to the Malibu beach. It made all my chorus extra hard to accomplish. One afternoon, as I came home from school, the house was empty, my mom has gone to her yoga class and my sister was at school doing some project. As i stepped through my metal door frame, and turned on my lights, there were furniture broken, things scattered on the floor. The first thought was, My house has been raided by marauders. I left everything where they were, and called my parents. As they arrived, they were very anxious about who were the thieves and what they were looking for. My parents had called the police by then, to investigate who has broken in. As the police arrived, they started questioning my parents and our neighbors long after they arrived. My mom retorted all of the questions with anger, due to the delay of the questioning. I had a sudden craving for some mashed potato with gravy sauce. I begged my mom to make some of her homemade gravy, my mom tried to hold her exasperation with me and rejected me nicely. They have found out the thieves has stolen the Mona Lisa painting in my parent’s room. They could not do anything about it, all they could offer were their condolences. The police succor us as if we were some injured dog, we were not hopeless, we still had many other famous paintings. That night, as our family was watching the television,i was angry because all the tv channels were filled with hardcore pious christians showing how much they want christmas to be a national holiday. My Christian sister still wanted to watch it since she was a supporter. I fought for the remote and we began to spit out each other's obvious languors as we attack each other verbally. My mom, after a long day, stoped both of us from fighting and made us have a reconciliation towards each other.

Mysterious

   The feeling of not knowing what will happen in the story often prolongs the readers interest in the book. Nothing can beat the heart stopping unexpected moments, that feeling is like no other. I think a big reason why people often enjoy mystery novels, is the thrill of guessing how the story would go. There are many mystery movies and novels, I personally enjoy mystery novels alot, but if it had a little bit of comedy thrown in there, would be great. I watched a movie called the Inception, it was about people using machines to create artificial dreams to change the past. They would create a dream and make the people in that dream, dream. It revealed the main character's past and why he was afraid of certain things. This showed everyone that he was still in love with his ex-wife. They would keep on doing that until they have enough time to change and find out what the past was about. It was an extremely complicated yet heart-beat skipping movie. I enjoyed that movie alot due to its unusual plot, its unexpected scenes that happened. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes mystery movies. You would enjoy this fine mysterious movie. There are no movies like this, this is one of the greatest movies i have ever seen all times.

Vocab Story

One night, as i was producing music beats in my studio down town New York. It was late at night and everyone was still working. I have already apologized for pushing the deadline for the artist's release on his new album. The light in the studio illuminated the artist while he was singing.The exhausted singer still gave me a smile and replied me with a lilt. The amount of stress and sleepiness is making the singer barely audible. This was very tough for me, I had to get him to sing louder when he already doesn’t want to be here. This artist has very little credibility with the world to creating some good music. My job is to change his image and change his style in music. Unfortunately, so far, the artist has failed to maneuver his singing correctly.

Thank You, M'am

   
            My mom was pressuring me, she desperately wanted a new shelf. I promised my mom I would build a new shelf for her only if I get to capture some insects and keep it in our house. I was walking along the side walk looking for some materials and I saw a very large log covered in mosses. The log seemed rather frail, so I decided to not use the log. I kept looking for it until I came up to these bamboo trees next to the lake. The tree barks were in great condition and seemed presentable as my material for the shelf. I decided to carry all the bamboos back, there were rather many of them. I started building the shelf with my dad in the garage. It did not take long, it was fun and it made my dad and I bond. When I finished the deed, my mom promised me I could capture some insects and keep it in the house. As I was capturing it, I saw the many trapped butterflies and bugs in the bag I’ve brought and decided to release all of them. No one should be trapped and forced to go somewhere else. I can somehow understand the pain. I went back home later with my hands empty. Few years later, the bamboo shelf my dad and I built were not frequently used. The barren bamboo shelf was put away somewhere in the attic, never seen again. I would never ever build something for my mom again.

Hopes&Dreams Helen on 86th Street quickwrite

      People all have dreams, some come true and some dont. I think when someone has a dream or hope and it doesn't come true, they would be highly dissapointed. A dream is a hope, a hope to be what your not. A dream is something you want, something unreachable for normal people. When people fail to pursue their dream, they would not care too much. I think for a dream, is something normaly unachieveable. For girls it could be jewelry, or a Brad Pitt for a husband, and for guys it could be an extremely pricey exotic sports car, or to be superman. Dreams are normaly almost impossible to achieve, but i think wishes can come true. To me, there is a difference between wishes and dreams. Dreams are something people dont normaly have or do, and wishes are little things that may have oppurtunity in happening. Wishes are things like, having your relationship work, or to have a raise in salary at work. When people's wishes dont come true, depending on how big the wish is to them, but they will still be highly dissapointed. For me, wishes have came true, i feel lucky to be in an american school and have sources other people dont have. When wishes come true, people get very excited and joyful. In my case, i feel lucky to be in a wealthy family and to have a great life.

What if....I will die by 20

    Human beings are normally cruel, mean to others and wont consider their feelings until they are in a life and death situation. If i will die by the time Im 20, i will live every single second of my life to the fullest. By that i mean i will do anything i want, whenever i want. I will not obey the laws, i will not listen to what my parents or the police tells me. I will do whatever i want. I wont change my lifestyle just for this. I will die either way, why not die with style and have my dreams completed? I will travel the world for the first two years of my life. All the great scenes around the globe, all the fancy beach resorts and all the big cities around the world. I will seek for the best living environment for me to die in.  The next few years, i will spend it by living in the place i love the most, doing whatever i want. I will rob stores, i will steal cars, i will drink all day long until i pass out. Every single day for the last few years. I think changing lifestyles wont really help in anyway by this point. Changing your diet, your way of living will just remind yourself that you will die in this period of time. To me, there is completely no point of doing that. If i am assure to die in a few years, this is exactly what i will do. People's lives are short, everyone should treat their lives well and live to the fullest everyday.

Dog Star Summary

       Dog star is a story about an astronomer and his love for his pet. The owner loves his dog alot, her name is Laika and she is grey but very pretty. Laika was a good dog, a good dog to its owner. When the astronomer got a job on another planet, he could not leave without Laika, but he could also not bring Laika to outer space. The main character then struggled with itself about whether he should leave to continue his career or stay on Earth with the dog he loves. At last, the main character overcame his fear and sadness of leaving his dog behind. He left it with another fellow astronomer on Earth as he continues his studies in the outer space. Laika died after a month, she just had no more will to live anymore. She watched her owner abandon her. The main character missed Laika each and everyday. He made the worse choice of his life by leaving her there.

Initiation Summary

   The main character is a new girl to the highschool. She is new to be a freshmen at her highschool. There are older kids that are trying to make the new girls to initiate by making them do all types of things like making their beds. Bev, one of the older kids, made the main character not talk to any guys while they are being initiated. They are giving them tasks so that they can be initiated into the sorority. In order to be in the sorority, they have to listen to the older girls already in the sorority. The main character got a task which was to ask about everyone's breakfast on the bus they were in. She then came across this man that looked like a leprechaun. She was very fascinated by the guy. At last she thought everything through and that she doesn't need to be in the sorority and do all the stuff other people tells her to do. She ended up not being initiated.  

Willy Wonka

    The most memorable character for me must be Willy Wonka from the chocolate factory. The way the character has a factory all to him self, with mountains and mountains of different types of candies. He is an old man living in a child's dream. He has a grass room filled with mountains and mushrooms and fruits and trees. Everything in that room is edible, including his one and only, chocolate river. He really is full of surprises, he is the only person with the closest dream i had since i was little. He also has little people working for him on his new inventions of candies or other type of sweet goods. Being able to be someone like Willy Wonka is my dream, he truely is what every kid wants to become.

She is the one and only, Dexter's sister! She always mess up Dexter's lab, she always ruins Dexter's plans, she is absolutely Dexter's worse nightmare! I really like her because the cartoon show would be nothing without her. It would be Dexter in his lab all day instead of him thinking how to get rid of his sister. I also love how she can control Dexter without telling him directly.She is my favorite evil villan.
